FAQ
GP Auto Logistics is committed to providing the best car transport services, and it all begins by answering your most-asked questions. We want you to remain in the know about our company, how we operate, and any other pertinent information you deem useful and necessary for your vehicle transportation needs and desires. Transparency is key!
Scheduling
- 01
You can cancel at any time before your vehicle is picked up. If you cancel prior to the assignment of a carrier, you will be charged a $25 dispatch fee. If you cancel after a carrier has been assigned, you will be charged only the amount of the initial payment.
- 02
Schedule as far in advance as you can so that we can do our best to meet your needs. With sufficient advance notice, we can pre-book your shipment to lock in a price and ensure a place on a truck.
- 03
Yes, with enough advance notice. If truck routes have been already planned for your areas, you may have to settle for days that are not optimal for your schedule. The sooner you schedule, the better.
- 04
We would not want to give you false expectations with an exact delivery time since we are tied to many variables such as traffic, weather, and drive time restrictions. Our carriers will provide a 2-4 hour window for pickup and delivery times. They will be in touch approximately one hour prior to pickup or delivery to confirm the time and place.

Of course. Call our auto transport experts anytime during the shipping process at (512) 615-9857 to get a real-time update on your vehicle’s location and estimated arrival time.
- 02
This depends on how far it goes, the time of year, and the specific route. Vehicle shipments sometimes can be completed in a day or two but could take as long as a few weeks. Besides distance, delivery schedules can be affected by severe weather and difficult road conditions. Call our experts at (512) 615-9857 for a custom quote based on your pickup and delivery dates and locations, or fill out a quote request.
- 03
Our trusted carriers have a record of outstanding customer service and delivery and are insured for up to $250,000. However, we recommend that you take photos and/or video of your vehicle upon pickup and again at the time of delivery. If you discover damage to your vehicle that occurred during transit, note all damages on the Bill of Lading that is provided to you upon delivery, and then call us to begin processing your claim.
- 04
Yes, as long as the vehicle pickup and delivery addresses that you specify are suitable. If there are any transportation restrictions or safety issues that would prevent access to those locations, then the carrier will work with you to arrange an alternate pickup and/or delivery location that is as convenient as possible.
- 05
We can move inoperable vehicles. This is an additional fee for moving inoperable vehicles, but as long as your vehicle can be rolled and steered, we can load it onto one of our standard carriers.
- 06
Several carrier options are available to accommodate your needs. For regular, personal cars, we suggest using an open carrier, which is the same way new cars are transported from factories to dealerships. If you are moving an exotic, collectible, or antique auto, we suggest choosing an enclosed or hard-sided carrier. Call our auto transportation experts at (512) 615-9857 for more details on the various options and to receive your free, no-obligation quote.

Please remove your E-ZPass or any other electronic toll collection mechanism from your vehicle and mail it to your destination or bring it with you. Due to the nature of the automated toll road systems, if your device is left in your car during transport, you will incur toll fees as if you were driving the vehicle.
- 04
Your initial payment will be 10% of the total cost, which is determined by the type of vehicle you are shipping, the carrier type (open or enclosed), the pickup date, the time of year, and many other factors. Please call our auto transport experts at (512) 615-9857 for more details.
